The acidity mellows, giving way to soft florals and a gentle white tea sweetness, rounded off with a whisper of orange blossom. It’s one of those cups that feels both lively and serene.

What makes this coffee extra special is the variety: Typica Mejorado. A bit of a mystery bean with a disputed lineage—some say it’s a cross between Ethiopian landrace and Typica, others believe it’s part of the Colombian research project—but what’s clear is that it offers exceptional clarity, florality, and sweetness when grown right. And at Finca Amigos, it’s grown right.

Maria Alejandra, the fourth-generation coffee grower and Q Grader behind the farm, manages every step of cultivation and processing with care. Her attention to detail brings out the best in this variety.
